Notes:	The Hartford Evergreen #88 Bissell Ferry 5k and 10K Annual Scholarship Road Races USATF Certified 5K and 10K Race Courses. Start and Finish at the Board of Education Building 1737 Main St in S Windsor, CT. Both courses are flat and fast. Day of race registration available from 7:30 to 8:45 am ... All Proceeds going to benefit the Hartford Evergreen #88 Scholarship Fund Cost: Runners $25.00 (race bib with timer included) Walkers $25.00 T Shirts available to all who register by Sept 15 All participants receive a finishers medal Awards given to top three finishers in each age group ********************* 12 and under 13-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70 and over Trivia: Bissell Ferry connected South Windsor (east of the Connecticut River) to Windsor on the western bank. After English settlement, homesteaders west of the river relied on John Bissells ferry to reach pasture lands on the east side in South Windsor. The Bissell ferry operated from about 1633 to 1925.
